Royal National Park, situated just 30 kilometres south of Sydney, holds the distinction of being the world's second oldest national park, established in 1879. Covering over 16,000 hectares of diverse landscapes including dramatic coastal cliffs, pristine beaches, heathlands, and dense bushland, it offers an incredible variety of experiences packed into a single day trip. One of the most popular activities is the Coast Track, a spectacular two-day hike that hugs the clifftops between Bundeena and Otford, though many day visitors choose to tackle shorter sections for stunning ocean views and fresh sea breezes. The park is also home to beautiful swimming beaches such as Garie Beach and Era Beach, which are far less crowded than Sydney's city beaches.
